Going time, on the road whenever I can
Travel for free just like any hobo man

Destination unknown, I'm going on a lark
Waiting to jump any train just after dark

Got to see corn fields burnt to the ground
Keeps prices high and profits safe and sound

Smelled the poppy seed drifting in the air
Makes some dream of a world they can bear

Met some folks, you could call them friends
Steal the gold from your teeth when it ends

Mr. Nobody over there didn't last the night
Now he's just fair game but don't seem right

I like that hat and I'll have the overcoat too
Stop your whining and just grab the other shoe

No funerals here no slice of birthday cake
But then again, we had one hell of a wake
