Remnants of War
like the breath of satan
its been breathing down my neck
but the remnants of war
just wont let me forget
pictures so vivid
but only come within dreams
as i relive death
slowly scene by scene
never down play the memories
of brothers still loved
but i beg to forget
the sweat and blood
the smoke in the distance
and the tears we shed
remnants of brothers
that have long been dead
peace be upon them
and god bless their souls
but those that are living
still carry the tolls
for those that are gone
you are never alone
so ashes to ashes
till we all go home....
