    Never See Home

    Camouflage my memories
So they blend in with my mind
    Forget it ever happened
    And let the past unwind

    But it’s not that easy
    To forget the mud
I can still hear the shots
    And still see the blood

The screams ring in the distance
    As I close my eyes
    And reality hits hard
    When a soldier cries

    Rifle in hand
    And down on one knee
    You don’t want to believe
As it gets harder to breath

    But it’s said and done
    Carved in stone
    Another brother in arms
    Will never see home...

very good very well put i really liked it

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.
