    Tears Of Reality

    TEARS OF REALITY

    Long cold nights
    And days spent alone
    Our only wish
    To make it home

For the faces of the dead
    They haunt our dreams
    And we can never forget
At least that how it seems

    We do only our jobs
And let life take its course
    But when night falls
    We’re overwhelmed with remorse

For its when others lay down
    And close their eyes
That I fall to my knees
    With questioning cries

I pray to god for answers
    I scream toward the sky
    I drop to the ground
    And there I cry

I cry for all the soldiers gone
And all the ones still here
    So if you want reality
    It’s found in a soldier’s tear......

Life is a balancing thing, both sides now.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
