Hollow Eyes

Hollow Eyes

fake smiles surround
suffocating from the subtlety
situations to delicate
to have with this mentality

I just stand silent
with a smile everyone will see
but hidden from sight
I know that this could never be

a soul cries out
but the screams that sound they are in vein
these emotions so deep in me
but the only thing I feel is pain

to tired to let go of this
but it haunts me each and every day
I grip the memories so tight
with words I cannot find to say

their life is gone but I’m still here
dying from the dreams I see
the smile fades off in the dark
suffocating from the subtlety...

Aaaw...pure poetry. I'm in my own world when I read your poem. I like the negative enegry, I'm rejuvenated! Anyway, I thought your poem was magical. Do you mind checking out my poems? I'd like to know opinions of others...

OMG this poem is sooo good. I really really love it. WOW!!!!!! I really do love it. Just how it flows is wonderful.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
