Nor'Easter
Nor’easter
Encouraging rust, the clammy raging wind banged the lock on the shutter
Birds took to their journey all in a flutter
Cacophony filled the air, as the angled rain burst along the hillside
No where to run and hide
Buckets and watering holes burgeoned, spilling over
Dry spaces were few, it seemed
Small animals wriggled into small places for cover
Careless now, the wind howled from its coreNothing to anchor it, with more in store
A gale, indeed was coming ashore
