Embrace Truth

Poem Commentary

Was a little ditty that kept running through my head....

Embrace Truth

All you need is the truth and you can set yourself free

from all of the wars, disease and poverty

don't waste your time conforming to society

building castles that don't last, pretending piety

exercise your right to outlast ignorance and greed

make your mind a vessel of intelligence to succeed

don't be obsessed with making money, forget the need

draw energy from within, your own power and speed

lives fueled on the suffering of others will cease

they fall away, like dust in the dimension you see

no longer will that paradigm rule our galaxy

express and be all you can potentially be

the time of select, collect and neglect is wrecked

a new ship has sailed, so get yourself on deck

the race is over, true winners recognize their trek

stand up, take your place in the truth-seekers sect

wow. i'm baffled why such a great piece of truth and poetry only has a few reads and one other like. send this out to the masses. i would frame this and put it above my mirror in the bathroom if you would let me. its an awesome piece. you should be proud. i love it. and i don't boast this much on other poems. this one just hit me right between the eyes. lovely .

Thanks do much for that awesome compliment, dear. I do appreciate it so much. I think there is just not that much action on here, I barely ever hear from anyone. Cheers! MJ

i really really like the ideas you have in your poem. i agree fully. your expression was very "colorful" and it gave the poem an enhancement.

Thanks for reading it and your words about it, I appreciate that very much. Please read some others of mine, I would love to hear from you again.

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.
