Grief Abounds

Poem Commentary

Tom has been gone almost 2 years and the world has never been the same since his passing.

Grief Abounds

Grief Abounds

Grief and sadness abounds this place

When joy and gladness should take its place

Honor in all things that were done

Inscribed above upon the stone

Raised stones for some and flat for others

Dads, Sons, Daughters, Mothers

Unspeakable losses born in their wake

Chimes in the wind echo their names

As each holiday comes to call

Relatives pause to remember all

The emotions swell warm and sweet

Sadness profound and complete

-M. Jacobs

I think it brings back some grief for everyone who reads it. It's better to feel it than to keep it bottled up inside ourselves. Thanks for your kindness.

Tom is astral-reading this as I write and as you read this comment. Along the life-line of Divine Energy—yours, mine, his—he is dancing to the down-beat of each syllable, moving trance-like to each verb, and absorbing each thought you have of him. You are the source of his happiness.

Thanks Stellar, I appreciate you reading it and commenting.

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.
