Lost Touch

Lost Touch

The cracks in my mind
Were  never really mended
I'd hope they'd be
Yet they never were
You still found your way in
Though I tried so hard
To keep you away
To shun you
Get out of my head
I'm hurting
Because of you
All because of you
My only love
The only desire
Constant madness
This uneasy state of mind
You
Pull me over
The insane
I am
Not normal
When you
Are near
When you
Look at me
I am captivated
By beauty
Thrown
To and fro
Gaining little
But not
Enjoying this
I don't like this
This unending fire
The waters of the earth
Have not quenched it
Have not wet it down
But have made it worse
I have gone
And left
Never to return
This spirit
Has not been crushed
But driven mad by
Divinity
Your power
My love
See the whispers
Over the horizon
And the mist pull over
A blanket of night
Destroy what we
Stood for
And that
Was
Each other

Aw this is both heartbreaking and genius. I really hope poetry is helping you, I know it helps me think when I feel like I can't any other way... If that made sense

NIght moves can undo a day's resolve. Love the tension and the burlesqued protest. Relaionships are a pain . . we choose to engage for the moments of euphoria promised. Harv

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
