I smile at the glorious sun rising in the morn

Caressing the land with her rays of golden light

I smile when I hear the bird's chorus at dawn

Their sweet sounding notes uplifting and bright

I smile as I watch a young kitten at play

It pounces and chases with cute little tricks

I smile when greeted by my dog each day

She has adoring brown eyes and gives loving licks

I smile whenever my family and friends are near

So nice to watch them all smiling and carefree

I smile when I think of them, though I'm alone here

And hope against hope that they are thinking of me

I smile when my handsome husband holds me tight

And whispers 'There will never be another you'

I smile when I watch my children as they sleep at night

And each day my love for them grows, it's true

So many wonderful blessings to thank God for each day

I count and know my list just might never finish

The best thing of all is giving my smiles away

Please take them, spread them, let the smiles never diminish

Please remember to smile when things look grey

Give your smiles freely, they cannot be bought
