Communication

Whatever speech may be expressed
Is a way to learn from it all
Feelings aren't always suppressed
Emotions confuse the call
Look deep beyond each word
Try and think before you speak
Was it just what you heard?
Or did listening reach a peak?
We cannot simply guess
Or assume that we know
I've done it I will confess
And made the problem grow
In silence please don't sit
In anger do not shout
Each time we learn a bit
Trying to work things out
I am who you try to see
You are only being you
We don't on everything agree
Unique in things we say and do
Those times we're on the same page
When the communication flows
