Emotions to a Distant Shore.
A single letter is as naked and vulnerable as the virgin white page
The thrust of sentiment comes from the streams that forge the channel
Could it be the start of lover's dreams to slip letters between sheets?
Letters ink warming thoughts to sentiment received and understood
Messages replenish veins of emotion once thought dry adding power
Racing imagery floods deltas on the barren landscape on which I write
Can this bridge of emotions cross to distant shore nurture raw sensations?
Could seeds fertilised on fertile soil blossom into an unsullied rose?
A sea meant to be crossed/ by this vessel of words sails for yonder shore
One fears this construction may founder and perish on the rocks of reality
Yes to pour sensations from a heart threatens a jagged moment of risks
Sirens sound yet deafness befalls a fools ear his plundered soul lost, devoured
Yes to reach out in this world/ for your moment of happiness/ is a must
For that hand to be held by her with such tenderness starts with a single letter
