I dream of you
I dream of you as the last gasp of daylight fades to grey
And the array of diamonds set off the encrusted moon
I dream of you as neon signs give there dancing colourful displays
And the symphony to life they bring, even in the still of night
I dream of you as I stretch out my hand, to caress your thigh even when you aren’t there
And warm imaginings of your body next to mine
I dream of you as the speckled sunshine raises her golden smile to greet the day
And the energy your love brings to me
I dream of you as my eye lids open and close
And security it brings meaning to every part of my life
I dream of you as I sit on a hill drinking in nature’s beauty
And smile to myself knowing that she pails before you
I dream of you as I look at the tight red bud of a rose
And smell its sweet scent as within its petals our love grows
