Celestial Presence

Celestial Presence

If I were
A Celestial being
I’d wander upon the clouds
I’d watch the world turn around

I would be in awe of the
Greatness of the earth
The sun and it’s colors
Of lavender, pink and blue

I’d travel the length
Of the globe’s circumference
Enchanted by it’s greatness
This place of my birth

Drifting down onto the earth’s surface
I would float along
Fly down to the forests
Breathe in the evergreen air
I’d go to the mountains
Where natural waters flow
Peacefulness exists

I’d travel to those I know
Perhaps leave a scent of me
Apple’s fragrance in my hair
Would they know I was there?

I’d go to the love
That is so far from me
Gather whispers and
 spread them to his ears
Planting kisses around his neck
Would he know it was me that is near?

I’d venture to the places I love
The Green Mountains, The Smokey’s and such
The Hills of Scotland
The lure and  beauty of Vienna
At least I’d see them this way
For some I have not yet seen

These days will come
when I am
A celestial being

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
