Afterthoughts

Silliness
Perhaps
Is what you perceive
When at a glance

You are looking
At me

Wanton desires
Hold steadily
Throughout the day

Patiently waiting
Transforming you from thought
Within touching distance
From thy sight

Restlessly sleeping
‘till able to reach you
With fingertips
Rolling off your back
In the middle of the
Sacred night

Sacred for it ends too soon
thoughts hold fast
Onto dusk waiting on
Golden light
Half or whole -
Moon

Silliness …yes
Soulful too…
Deep, endearing
Unchanging
My love for you
