Castle
Castle
Inherent ….
Wearing my heart
On thy sleeve
I succumb to the pressure
I bow out,
I take my leave
Placing my heart
Behind a fortress
Anticipating my gatekeepers call
He comes to scale these tethered walls
Seeking entrance
With words of love, poetic rhymes
While I wait to feel the magic
Of the emotions that I hide
For what seems like long ago,
Your words captured my heart,
To a place I would fall
Continually, all the way down
Where I would land waiting
While my writer’s soul
Lays dormant in a dungeon
Chiseled out in the corner
Of my heart..
Waiting for it’s release
With the beckoning of his words
And their tantalizing call
carolann
