    Without tomorrow

    Cascading years, decades beyond my youth

    Dwindling trickles of time slip into darkness

    Slowly, slowly silvered glass reveals a truth

    Age and time have become ravenousness.

    Consuming my body my soul my future

    When did yesterday destroy tomorrow

    And a child succumb to wisdom’s lure

    Belief and hope replaced by my sorrow.

    Sadness for a time of wanting and needing

    As passion and love were beyond as hope

    Forward timely so has lost all meaning

    Each day living becomes a slippery slope.

    Past overtakes a future regretting time

    And in looking back there is little I’m…
