    Poem Commentary

Seemed like winter would never come to Central, Ohio in 2006.

    Winter Has Arrived

    The golden rays of the

    afternoon sun

    peek through the

    slate blue clouds

    in the western sky;

    While the small

    white flakes

    create an ominous

    cloud of white….

    It is January 16th.

    Winter has finally

    arrived.

    Darkness falls over

    the small

    rural city

    and the lights

    from the many merchants

    try to shine

    through the cloud of white

    surrounding

    the town….

    Cars are hurrying

    through the traffic

    as though it were Christmas

    all over again.

    Chaos abounds!

This is probobly my favorite of all your poems. It is simple, yet it paints a picture in my mind of the Christmas scene. It brings vision to the reader. I like that! Myrna Cox
