Ukulele wanderers

Poem Commentary

Wow... I'm rereading this and realizing how random it is. I like it though, and I hope you agree. I play the Ukulele, and I really enjoy it. It's easier to move than a guitar, and works really well for just jamming to songs you like. Anyway, I wish you well on your journey, and Uke on!

Ukulele wanderers

Power to the players!
The Bard's of our land,
who travel the country,
from city to sand.
Calloused feet, worn strings,
With a plink at each chord,
Their words with more power
Than a bow, shield or sword.
Entertainers and preachers.
Performers for view
No instrument more versatile,
Than the little old "U"
Despite any hardships,
Our people still stand,
Power to the Players!
The happiest in the land.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
