Things lost

I lost something as I went by I needed it, I'm not sure why I searched on it from equal ground But still that thing would not be found I hurt without it, lonely and sad losing it felt oh-so bad I searched for it from down below But still my lost thing wouldn't show As I searched I found a note "You lost a good thing and good things float" And so I searched from the skies above And I found what I lost: Someone to love
