Before you hurt someone

Poem Commentary

I've been hurt, and so have many people. No one deserves this. I hope this helps you decide to help, not hurt.

Before you hurt someone

Before you hurt someone
Think of this
Think of a child crying in a corner
a puppy abandoned on the side of the road
Put yourself in their shoes
So alone
perhaps cold
Maybe hungry
Even tired
But sad and alone most of all
Now before you help someone
 Think of this
A kitten purring in your lap
A Family with their first meal in days
How might they feel?
Loved, thought of
Happy and warm
Now make the decision to help not hurt
And If you do hurt, Help.
