Musician's Life

Poem Commentary

I love to sing and play the viola and ukelele. This feeling also applies to my poetry too, so I hope you all get something out of this. Please, tell me what you think!

Musician's Life

At first, just a single tone, quietly grabbing all attention.
Suspense flows in as all eyes turn towards the source.

An end

A pause

Suddenly a rush of feeling hits, slightly faster than the notes which carry it, as bow upon string falls into place.
Then music. Melody and harmony intertwined in a never ending dance.
Fingers, bow and string perfectly synchronized, one motion, one wave and dozens of notes seemed to fill the air.
Every note carried a feeling. Anger, sadness, enthusiasm, the musician belting out her soul for all to hear.
The beat carries a story, of a girl trapped inside herself, unable to express but through the sound which all hear but none understand.
Rhythm drops in. No longer following the music, she bursts out a climax, a cry for help. She couldn't stop if she tried.
Every thought is played out of her head, her soul playing itself out, trying to be heard as the final sound rings throughout the room.
Applause cannot cure it, and the silent beat of tears on wood continued as she and her instrument left the room.
How could such beauty contain such sadness? No one knew, and so they deny it. However, as smart as we may be, only few know, how misunderstanding we are.
