Silly little girl

Poem Commentary

Written for five year old girls, but also holds a deeper message that we can do what we want without feeling pressured. We are all silly little girls inside, right? By the way, the last stanza is said by the little girl.

Silly little girl

Silly little girl,
sitting on the street,
don't you know your shoes,
should go on your feet?

Silly little girl,
running 'round the lawn,
don't swing your socks about,
you should really put them on.

Silly little girl,
rolling on the mat,
go and take your cap,
off the fluffy cat.

Silly little poem,
although you tease and taunt,
don't you know a girl can be
as silly as she wants?
