Sending a letter

Sending a letter

I'm sending a letter to my good friend
She's so far away that it causes me pain
I hope that the letter receiver is her
And plead that the ink won't wash out in the rain

I pray that the post office airmail plane
won't crash on it's way to her place
Maybe the letter will rip to shreds
Or end up lost in the whole crazy race

But most of all, I hope she won't misread it
And just walk away, her misery trailing
I'd love to speak to her, but the truth is
Talking has as many chances of failing

Say it carefully, and listen...
Miscommunication kills friendships
