The Opponent
Everyday I would look her dead in the face, and everyday she would give me a challenge.
She loved to try me, but I had since learned to let her know "The win...I was going to have it."
Everyday she has a set of tasks and I have mine.
She thinks she's going to come out on top, but each day I find a way to trick her before she gets out of line.
People try me, and say different things to try and hurt me and sometimes she's on the defense.
I don't see her all day, but I know the upset feeling and when she thinks someone is testing her confidence.
The opponent greets me before I leave my room in the morning, and she lets me know that she isn't about any games.
Let the wrong person try me and she quickly jumps in gear, ready for any and everything.
The opponent can be my best friend or worst enemy, it all depends on her mood.
If things are done my way the win is mine, and then then she's sour because she rather handle them differently and sometimes rude.
The opponent is my opponent daily, and is my biggest one yet.
I know I will greet her daily, and I don't even have to bet.
The opponent greets me everyday, and everyday she's has a new challenge.
Each day I have found stronger courage to tell her, "The win...I will have it."
