Broken but Building
One, two, and that's all it took before you lost your mind.
The picks were set, but you had to be hardheaded for the umpteenth time.
Life is full of games, trials and championships but you must know which one is for you.
Every strategy is not used for every one, but each game and trials are designed differently and you must go through.
Things will happen, buildings will fall, but you will make it...if you learn to stand tall.
You can be 4'10 or 6 feet tall, you can own the game as long as you know how to control the ball.
Every win is not yours, and every loss is not a gain, but you can make it if you're not owned by the pain.
Storms can't be avoided but you can learn from them if you know to go through the rain.
I'm building because when I was kid, that's what I saw Gramma V do.
People tried her, but only she knew her special strategy and when to put it to use.
Frustration broke me once, but I lost my head in the game.
Admiration got the best of me because I got wrapped up in some boy's name.
My dependence disappeared because I let go of myself.
My peace disappeared because I got lost in my image and lost sight of how to be anybody else.
It's hard to forget your hurt when you're still in learning mode.
It's hard to get in building mode when you still feel broke.
Broken but there's a purpose that I must fight for.
When I learn how to stand through the rocky times, only then will I get a great reward.
Broken but that doesn't mean that this is the end of me.
Building because I'm looking for a gain, and I'm not settling for a defeat.
