The Few and True
If I can’t fuss and argue with him, then I don’t want friends.
If I can’t debate with him about the obvious then the friend race is to the end.
I have a few friends, and only a few of them have stayed real and true.
There’s only a few that have been able to stand strong when the hard winds blew through.
Everyone is not willing to care and compromise the way he does.
There are not many that can put up with my barriers when the obstacles seem to rough.
I can honestly say there’s a few that have stood still and true.
They have proven their selves strong, when I needed to be carried through.
Where would I be if I didn’t have a home girl here to tell me about the fun in facing my fears?
How would I have anyone to grow with if my home girl wasn’t here?
Who would I be if there wasn’t a few I could lean on when I didn’t want to run to family?
The few and true that are there and are not trying to judge me.
The few and true that have my back and are not worried about who I use to be.
The few and true that stand when no one else has my back.
It’s amazing when you have a home girl that will encourage you when they forget about the facts.
There are not many that will stand with you, but it’s good to have a few.
It’s even better when you can feel it, and the friendship stands strong and true.
