The Dance of The Daffodils
I wandered lonely as a cloud
Floating over valleys and hills
To catch a glimpse
Of a crowd of daffodils
Beside a lake
Beneath the trees
They danced and fluttered
Upon a gentle breeze
Like the twinkle of the Milky Way
As many as the stars that shine
They stretched along the lake
In a never-ending line
Thousands and Thousands
I saw at a glance
Bobbing their heads
In a sprightly little dance
Often I lay upon my couch
In pensive mood
A flash comes to mind
Of this blissful solitude
My heart,
To full of pleasure it fills
At the thought
Of the dance of the daffodils.
