    Fear

    I shut the door
    I close the blind
    But here you are again
In the back of my mind

I can't seem to shake you
    Or ditch you anywhere
    No matter what I do
    Your always there

    The chattering of my teeth
    My cold clammy skin
I tried to send you away
    But you came back again

    My shoulders shiver
As goosebumbps run down my spine
    I know for a fact
That your no friend of mine.

I will overcome and deal with you
    Because your always here.
But I'll not be afraid of you
    Your only fear.

nice - as FDR said ' ...the only thing we have to fear is fear itself..."

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
