The Daisy

The Daisy

We always pluck the petals
Off a Daisy's heart of gold
For the Daisy has a story
Passed down through ages of old

We're always pulling them apart
Asking about our true love.
These precious little petals were formed
From the hand of our Lord above.

Each little petal tells of him
Our Savior so pure and sweet
His tender heart, His priceless love
That He's laid at our feet.

God made each little Daisy
With an infinite precision
As He gave us his trust
To make all our life's decisions

If he can give the gift of life
From a little seed to a beautiful flower
He can give us the strength we need
To get through life's every trying hour.

We don't question God's love
For without a doubt, it is true
Each one of these little Daisies
Is as reminder of how much God loves you.

very good write it is true we used to do that when we were a child .it was so easy to find hope in the petals of this flower

Poetry comes nearer to vital truth than history.
