    My Friend Lonliness

    I woke in the middle of the night
    With tears filling my eyes
    My friend lonliness came for a visit
    Telling me all sorts of lies

    My friend, he hangs around alot
    Filling me with hurt and despare
    Creating such an emptiness inside me
    But he doesn't really care

    My other friends and family
    They all seem to leave or just dissapear
    But my friend lonliness never goes away
    His presence is always here

    My friend, he gives me heartachs
    He constantly makes me cry
    He gave me this hole in the pit of my stomach
    So deep I felt like I could die

    Sometimes I wish my friend
    Would never visit or even call
    Cause I don't think this friend of mine
    Is really my friend at all.

    This is a very sad and heart touching poem.I have felt like this at times,but have learned that whenever I feel lonely to pray that God will remove that feeling and then I try to connect to other people either by chatting on the internet or by going to the mall or a restaurant.

    I feel like this alot...I have prayed for someone to come into my life and take away the lonliness but He never seems to go away...
