Same Ol' Same Ol'
I wake again, clock says two twenty four
Nothing new, same ol’, same ol’
Wide awake I try to find slumber
Words flow in my head, they are gone now.
Waiting for sweet sleep to find me.
The words fit. Thought I could remember.
Every night I awaken somewhere around three.
Cannot stop the clock from turning September.
I take a pill to calm me down.
My keyboard clicking, wish I felt mild.
House so quiet. Hearing a sound.
Clock ticking. Thoughts running wild.
Just want to be a little groggy.
Thoughts come to mind so dark, so black,
Images in my head a little foggy.
Thoughts drift off to my heart attack?
Another story, of a man of thirty four,
Didn’t want to go down that path,
Don’t worry for me, we all find our core.
Thoughts from my dark side take their wrath.
