Passion's Possessions
Walking hand in hand in the cool moonlight, the ocean sprays its’ mist in your hair,
We wait, we watch, we patiently catch the tide’s retreat from our lover’s footsteps,
You giggle softly, I smile behind loving eyes and whisper your name,
Amidst ecstatic gasping heightening passion
The tide takes revenge on all presumptuous lovers knocking us off our feet,
Tumbling, falling, surf-drenched with white foam wrapping us in its’ embrace,
You squeal, I laugh, just as the ocean roars your name,
Amidst glistening bodies cascading golden moonlight
Frantic arms, flailing feet, searching tongues,
A union of lovemaking ascending in rhythmic moans,
Running no farther, we hit the surf, united bodies entwine,
As embracing oceans of salty love overcome me in sweet surf,
Never making it to the beach, we crash into falling surf and ebbing tides,
Locked in lover’s embrace that’s way too hot… the ocean, now, a warm friend,
Amidst aching love
Amidst battered bodies engulfed screaming surf,
Amidst all of this, you softly moan my name, and Angels in Heaven. weep.
