Emboldened, Impassioned, Alive
I dreamt of you and this kiss too, lingering as a rain-driven storm,
From your lips it came with fire and flame in the thundering impassioned dawn,
One more kiss and I’ll go away, but only for a season,
The embers will burn, on my return, for the lover who imprisons my reason,
I dreamt of you, and this kiss too, lingering as the rain-driven storm, on a thundering, impassioned morn.
Many times have I sat and thought of all the battles that I have fought,
In my mind love was the hardest, to search and to find, to cherish and to keep a lover, one and no other,
At times of lonely contemplation,
My head would strain my heart would ache,
All for a lover’s sake,
A love to hold on to and cherish,
Obtain her love I must, or perish,
For man and woman belong together in death or life, forever.
