Never Really Alone
O Lord! What must I do? For all these years I’ve searched for you,
Why is life so hard for me, a man of little necessity?
Never mind my faults and ways. Forgive Lord! I am but the earthly dust of days,
I prayed in the past, when My Lord wore a covering mask,
And life a painful task, to live but one more day,
When faith deserted love at failure’s door, all I had to do was pray,
So when God has hidden his face and all your angels flee,
When your life seems too much to bear and death’s skull grins in glee,
Before you throw away the precious gift of life,
Call a friend, bend a knee,
Ask for your teacher, then you will see,
There’s no need to sigh or groan,
In prayer you too can come home,
Call on God,
You’re never alone.
