Not Meant To Be?
Not Meant To Be?
It was a lightning of some kind
That she would see him one more time,
An old flame she had hoped had died
Rekindled, volted her with fire,
To see him was her strong desire
She dared to cross some people's line,
Wishing to touch her one true love
Undeterred steps she braved for once.
For fleeting moment they stood still,
As thousand fairies filled the air
The stars blinked not, the moon just stared;
They saw no one and heard nothing.
Her heart was thumping with such speed
Like hundred horses on the lead;
Thrilling excitement was at peak
She didn't care for eyes that glared.
For longing hearts it was heaven
As trembling hands touched each other;
Recalling back those bygone years
And how they parted amidst tears.
Reminiscing the past indeed
Was like digging old wound unhealed,
They both knew that it's been burried
What had been broken wouldn't mend.
Yet hearts knew well and recognized
Kept memories of old romance;
The night was theirs and hoped would last
Grab the moments before they pass.
Nostalgic music soothed their souls
As they danced through the endless hall,
The air was warm teasing the moon
Their eyes were locked, their chests were full.
The poet runs out of her words
To paint that night and toss the world,
They have to face the dawn that stood
Reality ruins the mood.
Now as they parted ways once more
Their hearts were heavy as each mourned
Why did they have to pay the toll?
Why is it hard to close the door?
Have to live with reality
They should accept their destiny
The love they have not meant to be
Just say goodbye...and let it be.
This isn't end we see at hand
It's just a pause for great romance,
Fate has its way for magic wand
Who knows the future till it comes?
