    A Dozen Times

    A Dozen Times

Have you tried saying you're sorry?
    I did a dozen times.
No one heard me because I just said it to myself.
Pride? Maybe it was. I regret I covered up the fact...
Fear?  I thought it was better that I lied...
I made a fool of myself almost a dozen times....
    I thought it was love...
Maybe I did what I did
because I believed I had the right
to avenge the pain inflicted in my heart...
    many a dozen tmes.

I've been very sorry and will be
for the rest of my life........
Let me just keep within the agony
of not being able to say 'I'm sorry'...
    I admit I'm coward....I lied a dozen times......
Let me carry the burden in my soul...
    Be punished all my life...
I hope God will find a way to forgive me...
If not the persons to whom I lied...many a dozen times.
Let me now end by saying "I'm sorry" and I really am...
Many times over ...... many a dozen times.
