Lightning
I feel the lighting in me,Flashing in my eyes.
I stand unpredictable,
An unstoppable stream of fire.
I hear the sky shatter beneath my power,
Light up with fear as I burn it.
Coming down to touch the Earth,
I feel it crack beneath me.
Lightning
I feel the lighting in me,When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the USA
