    I WISH I WAS HER


    At night it’s your arms she is wrapped within.

    I WISH I WAS HER.

    She’s there when you wake up,

    And your day begins.

    I WISH I WAS HER.

    When you laugh it’s the tune in her ears.

    I WISH I WAS HER.

    When she is frightened,

    It’s your words that sooths her fears.

    I WISH I WAS HER.

    I had my chance,

    But I let it slip away.

    So many years later,

    And I still regret that day.

    When her world crumbles,

    and she silently cries.

    I WISH I WAS HER.

    When she’s comforted by,

    The look in your eyes.

    I WISH I WAS HER.

    When she just   feels lonely,

    And needs a friend.

    You are there.

    And I find myself,

    Wishing I was her once again.

    Damn. Very emotional stuff right there. Time is so short it is so brief on this very planet that we cannot wish for things in the past to change. Nor can we go back and change it. What we have is now and only the present for the future is a million miles away. The only thing we can change is now not tommorow becuase it is not here and not yesterday becuase yesterday is already finished. Stay strong and stay positive and never forget who you are and why you are you which only God knows this very reason.

    A beautifuly constructed and well thought out write. You have really gotten the readers attention and the focus is drawn on her. Sometimes we wish we could be in another person's shoes and live the same life
