As You Journey Through The Depths Of My Soul…
I think the loneliest moments that my life has known, was the day you turned and walked away… asking me to leave you alone
There are many words that I could say, yet there aren’t enough words that could explain the feelings you’ve left me with in the aftermath of a broken heart
There are no words to explain my emotions; so I’ll open to you my heart and soul… and ask you to enter with understanding, gentleness; please listen to and feel my story unfold
As you journey through the depths of my soul, walk among my memories and dreams, then and only then you might understand my silence… in the devastation of losing a friend
Now observe the pieces of broken heart, as you travel to that special place deep within my soul, yes right there; and recall the time when you came into my world… after all my happiness and joy had been stole
As you journey through the depths of my soul, turn back to the time, when I needed someone to confide and believe in; and you touched my broken spirit with your eyes
Gently turn the page and you’ll find… your expressions of trust and faith which truly gave me hope; and you showed understanding during a time of mistrust, because of your caring acts… I began to believe
As you journey through the depths of my soul, find that chapter deep within me, and remember how… when I needed someone to share my sorrow and pain with, you gave of yourself and showed me the other side of life
And as you read on, you’ll discover that when I needed someone to love, your friendship and patience allowed me to first begin liking and loving myself, because of you… I began to believe and share and love again
As you journey through the depths of my soul, in reaching your destination, look at the place where you hurt me; now
I’d ask that you’d pick up the shattered memories, broken promises and torn dreams left in this corner; so that my soul and spirit could be cleansed and my heartaches released… at last set free—
