What I Will Do For You

I could show you the good in life, the simple things.

That soft touch that makes you know you are loved.

The gentel embrace to let you know it will be ok.

A sweet kiss to show how my passion burns in flames for you.

A closed mouth and open ears to all your hopes and dreams.

My outreached hand to lift you up when you fall.

Giving you my soul to do with as you please, forever and ever.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the USA
