From Divorce To Freedom

Alone in despair
I have found myself there
To be myself
With no one to help
Darkness surrounds me
Ever getting closer
It gets harder to see
Harder to breath
How do I live without thee
How do I keep up the front
When all I want to do is flee
And then you came into my life
Showed me a new way to live
Brought me back from despair
Eventually gave me back a pair
Taught me to live again without her
I will be eternally grateful
The love you showed
Will forever be a debt owed.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the USA
