    Poem Commentary

    Well, this one just came out of nowhere, it just popped into my head. I have certain moments like that, where phrases jump into my mind. Sorry if it is not well thought out, because I didn't really think it out...I pretty much just wrote it down. If you don't like it, I apologize. If you like it, the great!

    What can I do?

     I cry, but I cannot fix things
    I try, but I cannot win
    I work, but I cannot accomplish
    To demolish the anger within

    I hear, but I cannot listen
    I understand, but I cannot comprehend
    I rewrite, but I cannot redo
    All of the things that I'mtrying to tend

    I wish, but my wishes aren't heard
    I shout, but my shouts not acknoledged
    I pray, but my thoughts are nothing, just nothing
    compared to what others have said.

    There comes a point in life where we realize that "others" and what they think doesn't matter as much as we thought it did. I like the way you expressed your disappointment. You have a gift and a way with words. Keep writing!

    Yes, when I wrote this poem, I was angry that no on e was acknowledging my presence enough.
