Gone
Sighs, echoing through barren rooms
Not heard, but seen through fogged glass
They are not here, but say they are
Conjuring memories from the past
But no one is there in the room
With emptiness fading with flickering lights
And no one says that they would help you
To save you and fulfill the withering nights
And abandonment seems to echo around
Even though the hall outside is filled up with sound
Of voices ignorant, but trying to see
That they are reaching out with caring, but truly trying to flee
For, pretending is never really helping
As tears slowly run down your face
But no on is there, though they say they are
Inside your mind, of your humble disgrace
Because reaching hands jerk back when taken
Disgusted at the actual realization
Of nothing that would assist you
If anyone, anyone at all sees you
But now, you are nothing
Like shadows of memories lost from the present
Because people who once thought of more
Think nothing of you anymore
Though, deep inside the soul of shattered consciousness
The glue to place the pieces back together seems to disappear
Since nothing, as before, will help you anymore
Because they all have better things to do
