Wedge Worm

Poem Commentary

That coyote is really a crawly clown.

Wedge Worm

boiling back burner
given ingrate handouts
loving father dreams
blind to daughter schemes

hurting wife aware
underground strategies
deceit denied place
wearing barefoot face

building of wide walls
his child's brainless babble
yet verminous voice
father's family choice

indents deepening
all recognition lost
wanting braggart brat
regained baby fat

hints, lies, and cheats
hidden meanings spoken
the household errands
daily duties broken

her crying christmas
although high prices ring
the crater footprints
sprouting spoiled springs
