    Carnival

Shhh...  Listen, and you can hear
the rhyme of America's favorite pastime
tilt your ear to the air
    the musical carousel
an advocate is coming to our town.
    Listen...

"Come one, come all -- we've got our bases covered--
Freak Shows, Side Shows, Game Shows --
your two best cards is all you need to enter..."

Listen...  He's the master of the wheel.
Just bank on one and two
    recorded, protected, and licensed speech
    no cheap seats here
    just listen...

"Step right up, to the House of Fun --
    with bubble machines
    while we wish you well
    in white washes..."

Listen...  You'll be glorified, magnified --
    not hypnotized or stigmatized...

    "Over on your left --
    the dog with pony and
    smoke and mirrors
    with high powered projectors..."

    Turn you caps inside out
    put on your sun glasses
    you've made the list
you're never last in the line-up
    Just listen to this...

    "All gloves are golden
and knock on your registered bats --
    we've got corns in cans
    squeezed feet in baby-food jars
    just slide and meet
    aliens from mars..."

This isn't a House of Cards
    no need to steal home
    Listen to the center ring...

    "Look here...
    We've got zombies in cages
    hooked up to devices
    no need for cocaine, drugs,
alcohol and weed or any other vices..."

    The milk can't be spilt
after all you're living in your Home that Ruth built.
