Via Dolorosa By: DeanPeter
Have you ever seen " The Green Mile?"The last walk a man on death row takes
The last chance for one to reconcile,
And to ask forgiveness for his mistakes.
Oh, Via Dolorosa how you are set apart,
for through you walked a man,
With forgiveness in his heart.
While your stones absorbed fallen drops of blood,
and felt His Cris-crossed tree, a burden heavily carried, and then you felt his knee, the last time Jesus would kneel,
before saving even me.
Oh Via Dolorosa, how I wish that we could talk.
Oh Via Dolorosa, How I wish that I'd been there.
For it is the bright red Rosa and its thorny stalk,
That when I catch a glimpse of one in the springtime air,
that reminds me of the day my Savior, took my sins when he took that walk.
