When a man has to put a marker to cardboard, he's making sign.
And it's not necessarily something you and me can define.

When a man puts a marker to cardboard ... he's being as humble as can be,
because of what he's asking ...of you and of me.

He's got maybe himself and a family to support
but he lost his home from a poor credit report.

So he and they are now down and out on the street.
And then it's you and him , on the corner where you'll meet.

He's not really asking anything of your time, what he really does need is just a spare dime.

You may disregard him for what it's all worth,
and pass him on by.. while you're on his turf. But consider this and consider this hard
no matter your opinion, his life hangs on that card.

Whatever it is you believe to be true,
exalt this man, it could easily be or be you...

Or....it just may even be .....Jesus ...
the King Of The Jews !
