Time
“Time” -by DeanPeter
The ticking of the clock, tick tock
When we were little, old was afar
Just as far away as a distant star
It seems like time just takes forever
have you ever seen a rock?
The tick tock of the clock
It matters not to me
Things to do , places to be , there is no time for time
Have we ever tried to stop?
Not another tock! Not another tick,
It’s spinning to fast , we want the moment to last
Can someone slow it down,
The sound just makes us sick!
The grandfather clock just swaggers
With an occasional hollow clunk
Somewhere down the hallway, amid the cluttered junk
She’s been gone for years now, The children moved away
And here I sit so lonely, thoughts are none but stray
Yes , Father time has it’s rhymes
With a poetic justice ring
Ticking on so patiently
In the end we’ll hear it sing
