Squeezed
Suffocating, I struggle to breathe beneath the surface
Lost in a sea of uncertainty
Faintly, the breeze softens the harshness I feel
But it is soon lost.
I know all of the old tunes, and
All of the steps to the dance of my old life.
To begin as emerging into an existance of life unknown
Feels like being squeezed through a needle of doubt.
Slowly, the breeze begins to blow
The ashes of the past fade away.
I begin to breathe the fresh air of life
Into the unknown.
